L E O N A R D O   T E R E N Z I p i t t o r e

Leonardo Terenzi vive e lavora a Civitanova Marche (MC). Nel 1982 si diploma al Liceo Artistico di Porto San Giorgio e nel 1986 si diploma in Scultura all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata. Durante i corsi di studio ha la possibilita' di apprendere le tecniche della rappresentazione visuale e approfondire le tematiche concettuali inerenti all'Architettura, alla Pittura, alla Scultura e alla Grafica. Nel 1986 inaugura l'anno accademico dell'Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata con lo spettacolo audiovisivo "L'uomo e la Città". Un racconto attraverso immagini, musica, sculture in movimento e proiezioni varie, una anticipazione fondamentale per l'Are Multimediale che si sviluppera' nel corso degli anni a venire nel contesto internazionale. In quei anni partecipa a molte rappresentazioni artistiche tra cui Esposizioni, Spettacoli Teatrali, Concerti, Cortometraggi e Spettacoli Audio-Visivi. Queste esperienze alimentano lo spirito di osservazione la rielaborazione interiore del vissuto fornendo le basi e i fondamenti della sua produzione artistica. Dal 1988 alla fine degli anni '90 si dedica alla scuola e diventa Professore di Discipline Plastiche con Concorso Nazionale Ordinario a Cattedre. In seguito prendera' anche le abilitazioni per insegnare Disegno e Storia dell'Arte ed Educazione Artistica. Ha insegnato in molte scuole del territorio marchigiano e tutt'ora si dedica alla scuola. In questo periodo le attivita' artistiche sono rare ma inizia la ricerca verso tecniche e modi di rappresentare che lo porteranno alla produzione artistica attuale. Nel 1993 la passione per tutti i mezzi di espressione lo porta a partecipare, come attore, nel film "Memorie dal Crepuscolo", diretto da Paolo Doppieri, prodotto da Labris. E' una piccola parte, ma e' sempre una ricerca espressiva gia' iniziata nei primi anni '80' negli spettacoli audio-visivi e nell'Arte Multimediale. Nel 1999 incontra il critico Fabio Tedeschi, direttore del "Forum Artis Museum" di Montese, Modena, con il quale farà tante attività. In particolare una mostra in Francia a Saint Paul de Vence vicino Nizza, un paese intriso d'arte, dove risiede la tomba di Chagall. La mostra è all'Atelier Warneck dove incontra André Verdet, scultore amico di Picasso. Dal 2000 partecipa a mostre di importanza internazionale tra cui le fiere d'Arte a Kirchberg - LUXEMBOURG, Innsbruck - OSTERREICH, Reggio Emilia, Catania, Aste Europee, ecc... Importante sara' nel 2002 la Rassegna d'Arte Contemporanea organizzata da RASBANK "La Materia della Pittura", presso le sedi Rasbank di Modena, Bologna, Ferrara. Alla rassegna partecipano anche gli artisti: Ely Bielutin dalla Russia, Luciano Folloni da Milano e Michele Tempesta da Livorno. Nel 2011 Leonardo Terenzi apre una galleria d'Arte a Civitanova Marche, la ARTISTIC VISIONS GALLERY, dove principalmente espone le sue opere ma fa anche promozione artistica per artisti emergenti con Mostre Personali e Mostre Collettive. Nel 2012 nella galleria si e' svolta una Rassegna d'Arte Moderna con artisti storici: Gianni Dova, Ennio Morlotti, Ugo Attardi, Ernesto Treccani, Renzo Vespignani, Carla Accardi, Piero Dorazio, Giovanni Beato, Remo Brindisi, Valeriano Trubbiani, ecc... Nel 2012 espone presso la galleria Thomas Charles/Editions a Phoenix in ARIZONA, in seguito la commissione Art Exhibition U.S.A. consegna al Maestro il Premio Citta' di WASHINGTON. Dal 2013 Leonardo Terenzi collabora con l' ISTITUTO FERNANDO SANTI "Marchigiani nel Mondo" dove pubblica degli articoli dedicati ai principali artisti marchigiani. Nel 2020 Leonardo Terenzi viene inserito nell'Enciclopedia d'Arte Italiana a cura della critica d'Arte Francesca Mariotti. Nel 2021 Leonardo Terenzi viene inserito nel ARTSY - online art brokerage.

Leonardo Terenzi lives and works in Civitanova Marche, Italy. He graduated from the Porto San Giorgio Arts High School, and received a diploma in sculpture from the Fine Arts Academy of Macerata (Accademia delle Belle Arti) in 1986. During his studies, Leonardo had the opportunity to learn the techniques of visual representation and to deepen his knowledge of the concepts pertaining to Architecture, Painting, Sculpture and Graphics. In 1986, the Fine Arts Academy of Macerata academic year was inaugurated by his “Man and the City” (L’uomo e la città), an audiovisual narration that combined images, music, video projections and moving sculptures, in what was to be an anticipation of the developments that would take place internationally in the area of multi-media art projects. During this period Leonardo participated to numerous expositions, theatrical productions, concerts, short-films, and audio-visual shows; these experiences would be fundamental for the development of his observation skills and of his capacity to internally rework his life experiences, providing the basis and foundations of his future artistic productions. Starting in 1988 until the end of the 90s, he dedicates himself to teaching and after winning a public competition became Professor of Plastic Disciplines. He later also receives additional certifications for teaching Drawing and Art History and Art Education. Leonardo has taught in numerous schools in the Marche region of Italy where he is still active as teacher. Though during this period his artistic activities, he begins to research techniques and modes of representation that later characterize his works. In 1993, his passion for all means of expression led Leonardo to take an acting role in the movie “Memories from Dusk” (Memorie dal Crepuscolo”, directed by Paolo Doppieri and produced by Labris. It was a minor role, but also a further demonstration of his curiosity and willingness to experience and experiment with multiple mediums which began in the early 1980s with his audiovisual shows and multimedia art. In 1999 he meets Fabio Tedeschi, art crtic and director of the Froum Artis Museum of the City of Montese (Province of Modena) with whom he establishes a prosperous working relationship. A special mention of the many activities they conducted together goes to an Art Exhibit in Saint Paul De Vence, a charming hilltop fortified village in the south of France where the Russian-French painter Marc Chagall is buried. The exhibit took place at the Wareneck Atelier where Leonardo meets André Verder, sculptor and friend of Picasso. Starting in 2000 he participates to numerous international exhibits, including the art exhibits in Kichberg, Luxenburg, Innsbruck, Austria, in Reggio Emilia and Catania, Italy. In 2002 he participates to the prestigious Contemporary Art Exhibition “The Subject of Painting” (La Materia della Pittura) in Modena, Italy organized and held by Rasbank at its location which saw the participation of other important artists including: Ely Bielutin from Russia, and Italians Luciano Folloni and Michele Tempesta. In 2011 Leonardo Terenzi opens his Artistic Visions Gallery in Civitanova Marche, Italy, where he mainly exhibits his own works and which he also uses to promote emerging artists with personal and collective exhibitions, including an exhibition of modern in 2012 that saw the participation of established artists such as Gianni Dova, Ennio Morlotti, Ugo Attardi, Ernesto Treccani, Renzo Vespignani, Carla Accardi, Piero Dorazio, Giovanni Beato, Remo Brindisi, Valeriano Trubbiani, and others. In 2012 his works were exhibited at the Thomas Charles Editions Gallery in Phoenix, Arizona and was later presented by the Art Exhibition U.S.A commission, the Washington City Award. Since 2013, Leonardo Terenzi collaborates with the Institute Fernando Santi “Marchigiani nel Mondo” for which he publishes articles dedicated to the most important artists from the Marche region of Italy. In 2020 Leonardo Terenzi is included in the Italian Art Encyclopedia by art critic Francesca Mariotti. In 2021 Leonardo Terenzi is included in ARTSY - online art brokerage.
